Designed to meet agriculture needs.


The new 5 Series is equipped with FARMotion 35 or FARMotion 45 engines, with 3 or 4 cylinders, to magnify manoeuvrability and traction respectively. These engines comply with Stage V emission standards and demonstrate extremely compact size ensuring a sloping bonnet profile, excellent external visibility from the driver’s seat and a high steering angle. Fuel consumption and noise level are optimized, thanks to the electronically managed Common Rail fuel injection system, able to operate at 2000 bar to achieve better combustion, reduced pollutant emissions and quick response to sudden load conditions. The cylinders' modular design and the hydraulically adjusted valves have increased reliability and simplified maintenance. A dedicated ECU allows two engine speeds to be selected in advance, set and recalled or constant speed to be maintained even when the load changes. Compared to the previous models, torque curve and rise have been improved, with a better reaction to the load variations and better performance at low engine speed. The 5125 model has a max power of 126 HP at 2000 RPM; at the engine speed for ECO PTO (1600 RPM) it has a torque of 517 Nm and a power of 115 HP, reaching 91% of maximum power.

Engine - 5 Series

High efficiency and maximum modularity.

To properly develop the modular concept, and to find the most suitable solution for all needs, the transmission versions of the new DEUTZ-FAHR 5 series are based on a mechanical gearbox with 5 speeds, and many options provided. The first of them is a mechanical reverse shuttle or hydraulic PowerShuttle, with the Stop&Go system that allows the control of the moving tractor with the brake pedals alone. This useful function increases the tractor's manoeuvrability, especially when working with the front loader. The second option regards the underdrive and creeper ranges, doubling both the forward and reverse gears, enabling a minimum travelling speed of 300 m/h. Another important step is the Powershift function (2 or 3 gears), now available also in the Automatic Powershift function (APS) mode for the HML transmission version. Another important feature - on demand- is the completely waterproof seal, very useful for work in paddy fields. In any case, the 4WD electro-hydraulic engagement and the 100% lock for both the front and rear differentials are provided on all the models of the range.

Transmission - 5 Series

A complete offer, for any need.

The PTO is managed by an independent multiplate wet clutch unit controlled electro-hydraulically, for smooth and precise engagement and disengagement operations, simply by pressing a button. An external PTO control is also available on the rear. The running of implements requiring PTO becomes perfect in every operation, thanks to speeds available in several different combinations (540 / 540-540E / 540-540E-1.000-1.000E), all with removable shaft. Groundspeed PTO comes with an independent shaft, as well as 1000 RPM front PTO. The "PTO AUTO" function manages the PTO automatically, depending on the electronic rear lift position.

PTO - 5 Series

Efficiency and high performance.

To satisfy every operating need, the new DEUTZ-FAHR 5 Series is offered with 2 hydraulic system configurations, available with single or double pump of 55 or 90 l/min capacity, and with 4 to 6 rear outlets, mechanically controlled, with flow regulator and free oil return. On demand, a 2-way on/off distributor, controlled electro-hydraulically through a rocker switch at the driver's seat, can be added to reach an 8-way capacity on the rear. All the mechanical distributors are equipped with the "detent" command (i.e. allowing a continuous oil flow) through a mechanical lock of the control lever. The DEUTZ-FAHR rear lift is well recognized for ensuring the best precision control and efficiency in the category. The new 5 series comes with a mechanical lift as standard, but may also be equipped on demand with a full electronically controlled version. The electronic unit allows some comfortable extra functions, such as maximum height limitation, low speed dropping, vibration damping system and the auto-PTO. The rear lift can reach a maximum capacity of more than 5400 kg; the 3-point linkage is category II. Additionally, a factory-fitted single effect front lift with a capacity of 2100 kg may also be installed.

Hydraulic system - 5 Series

Excellent driving feel and uncompromising safety.

Designed and manufactured in house, the two versions of the front axle have both 4WD and differential lock engaged electro-hydraulically. The 5095, 5100 and 5105 tractors are equipped with a front axle with a maximum admissible load of 2900 kg and maximum steering angle of 50°, while on 5115 and 5125 models the load is increased to 3000 kg and the steering angle to 55°. The Steering Double Displacement (SDD) function is available on demand on all the models; this function reduces the steering wheel turns by 50%, for fast manoeuvres in narrow areas. The 5115 and 5125 models may also be equipped with the Hydraulic Parking Brake, a combined mechanical-hydraulic system which applies a constant force to the rear brake discs, in order to lock the vehicle on all slopes, in complete safety. This system also reduces transmission power losses by about 1.5 kW (2 HP). Superior braking system equipment increases the safety level: disc brakes are fitted on all 4 wheels. Moreover, a complete set of different types of braking systems for trailers makes the DEUTZ-FAHR 5 series safe even for extended road transport.

TopVision - a luxurious 4-pillar cab.

The external visibility from the driver's seat is excellent both in the daylight and in the dark, thanks to a maximum of 12 LED working lights (6 front + 6 rear), installed on the roof, and the sloping profile of the one-piece bonnet. The new TopVision cab ensures high comfort levels, guaranteed by the introduction of the innovative Hydro Silent-Blocks, able to reduce the vibration level by up to 40% (compared with traditional Silent-Blocks). The tiltable and telescopic steering-wheel column, combined with a suspended seat with several adjustable settings, enables any operator to find the perfect driving position. A low noise level, high quality of materials and precise ergonomic layout make this cab completely comfortable. The cab can also be equipped with a bracket to support an external monitor or additional devices, a passenger seat, DAB radio, many electrical sockets, and smartphone and cup holders.
