With its 5 Series DF/DS/DV Ecoline family of tractors, DEUTZ-FAHR offers a range of highly configurable specialist machines capable of meeting even the most challenging needs of fruit and wine farmers throughout Europe. This new family is offered in a choice of 3 versions: 5 DF Ecoline, 5 DS Ecoline and 5 DV Ecoline, to cater for the needs of any orchard or vineyard. All models are available as variants with a four pillar cab or with a fold-down ROPS. For even lower operating costs, the FARMotion 35 engine meets emissions requirements without the use of additional fluids (AdBlue). Boasting a generous steering angle combined and the shortest wheelbases in their class, these new specialist tractors from DEUTZ-FAHR are the nimblest machines available on the market today. The 5 Series DF/DS/DV Ecoline family is bristling with class-beating high tech content, such as independent front axle suspension and the HML 3-stage PowerShift transmission, which lets these tractors be driven at 40 km/h with the engine at economy speed.

    FARMotion engines. Maximum efficiency in a compact unit.

    Developed specifically for agricultural applications, the FARMotion 35 engines equipping the tractors of the 5 Series DF/DS/DV Ecoline family feature 2000 bar common rail injection, a new preheat system and an exhaust aftertreatment system consisting simply of an electronically controlled exhaust gas recirculation circuit (EGR), a diesel oxidative catalyst (DOC) and a particulate filter (DPF). These combined benefits of these solutions are superlative performance even at low engine speeds and a flat torque curve, Other advantages of these powerplants are minimised emissions, vibration and noise, while superlative fuel economy, an exhaust aftertreatment system which does not use AdBlue and service intervals only once every 600 hours ensure extraordinarily low operating costs. The fuel tank integrated into the front module of the vehicle lets you refuel without opening the hood. It contains no less than 55 litres. To extend the operating range of the tractor, an auxiliary tank with a capacity of 40 litres (5 DF Ecoline models) or 30 litres (5 DS/DV Ecoline models) can also be installed under the cab or platform.

    The transmissions equipping the new DEUTZ-FAHR 5DF/DS/DV Ecoline family were developed specifically to meet the challenging needs of today's agricultural operator. The three-stage PowerShift transmission with five gears is unique in this tractor class. It provides up to 45 forward and 45 reverse gears. For greater driver comfort, gear changes can be carried out at the push of a button on the gear shift lever without any need to depress the clutch. The Stop&Go system for convenient starting and stopping without using the clutch pedal comes as standard in all models featuring PowerShuttle. An all-mechanical transmission is also available, with 30 forward speeds and 15 reverse speeds. Regardless of the transmission configuration chosen, all tractors are capable of a road speed of 40 km/h with any tyre size. The Overspeed function allows for a road speed of 40 km/h attained at lower, more fuel-efficient engine speeds (depending on rear tyre size), significantly reducing fuel consumption and noise during transport usage.     Impressive performance exactly when you need it.

    The choice of PTO functions is also highly varied. Three PTO speeds are standard as a matter of course at DEUTZ-FAHR: 540, 540 Eco and 1000. The PTO is activated using a button and electro-hydraulic controls. This guarantees a smooth start without jerks. A ground-speed PTO is available as an option.

    Work effectively with rear mounted and belly mounted implements.

    The models of the 5 Series DF/DS/DV Ecoline family come as standard with a hydraulic system with a 54 l/min main pump dedicated solely to the lift and the three rear distributors, while a 64 l/min tandem pump is available as an option. In all configurations, the steering circuit is fed by an independent pump to ensure impeccable smooth steering action even when the main hydraulic system is in use. The rear lift has a maximum capacity of 2880 kg (or 2600 kg for 5 DS/DV Ecoline tractors), while the front lift, which is integrated completely into the front module of the tractor, has a capacity of 1500 kg. The rear lift is also available as an electronically controlled variant. External operation of the rear lift from the wing makes attaching work equipment a safe and straightforward procedure.

    Axles & brakes. Maximum comforton every terrain.

    The new DEUTZ-FAHR front axle concept is unique for specialist tractors, making it a real highlight. Independent wheel suspension with a double wishbone design allows each front wheel to move vertically to a different extent. This results in maximum suspension in all operating scenarios. The extension and damping rate of the suspension of each wheel is controlled in real time by an adaptive electrohydraulic system to ensure total contact between the tyre and the terrain in all conditions. The differential traction control (DTC) system constantly monitors wheel revolutions and always applies torque to the wheels during maximum ground contact. Furthermore, this innovate control system in DEUTZ-FAHR specialist tractors also features a roll and directional stabilisation function. Roll stabilisation prevents undesirable diving of the front axle and subsequent shifts in load when braking, while directional stability stops the vehicle from rocking when it corners or turns. The slim geometry of the front axle frame allows a steering lock angle of up to 60°. A hydraulic four-wheel brake comes as standard, an automatic electro-hydraulic engagement of the four-wheel drive and 100% differential lock is optionally available. All of this means that the innovate front axle concept guarantees maximum wheel grip, traction, stability and safety for all ground conditions – both on and off the road.

    Four pillar cab for superlative visibility or platform with fold-down rops for uncompromised agility

    The tractors of the 5 Series DF/DS/DV Ecoline family are available with either a platform with fold-down ROPS or a four pillar cab. A single piece windscreen and panoramic glazing ensure ideal all-round visibility, maximising productivity and safety. The cab’s exterior is compact and slim, without any sharp edges that could damage crops. Thanks to the many noise-absorbing elements and other technical devices, the engineers at DEUTZ-FAHR have succeeded in minimising noise inside the cab. The air conditioning system is powerful, and the air distribution absolutely even. Seven adjustable ventilation nozzles keep the driver’s preferred temperature constant in all parts of the cab at all times. Even the doors contribute to the superior comfort of the cab, with a generous aperture angle for getting into and out of the driver seat with complete ease. All the controls are placed within easy reach and organised rationally in accordance with frequency of use in a clearly understandable colour-coded layout. The InfoCentre on the dashboard constantly provides the driver with clear information about the tractor’s operating conditions using analogue and digital displays. Drivers only need a few minutes to get to grips with how to operate the new DEUTZ-FAHR specialist tractors before being able to tackle the job in hand. Intuitive, extremely comfortable and productive.

    DTC

    DTC stands for Differential Traction Control. This is an electronically controlled differential with an automatic, progressively engaged differential locking system. The front and rear differentials are capable of locking by up to 100% to prevent the wheels from slipping and maintain constant traction in varying grip conditions. The DTC significantly improves performance on the road and in the field.

    ANTI-DIVE AND ANTI-ROLL

    The anti-dive system prevents the front suspension from diving and causing the centre of gravity to shift, to make braking significantly safer. The anti-roll function automatically adjusts the damping action of the suspension in relation to steering angle and speed, for superior stability and grip, especially when negotiating bends during use on the road.
