With a choice of five new models with power outputs from 130 to 200 HP, the new DEUTZ-FAHR 6G Series responds to the needs of customers who demand a tractor that not only delivers superlative productivity but is offers inexpensive to run, easy to use and boasts simplified maintenance. These tractors are the perfect combination of several superlative elements, with tried and tested Stage III A compliant 6 cylinder Deutz engines matched with highly efficient ZF transmissions and class-beating hydraulic systems. This formidable package is clad with an eye-catching design, while the DEUTZ-FAHR brand is a guarantee of genuine German quality.

POWERFUL, RELIABLE AND EFFICIENT.

Extraordinary efficiency and reliability are fundamental attributes of Deutz TCD 2012 engines, which feature DCR (Deutz Common Rail) entirely electronically controlled high pressure fuel injection and turbocharged forced induction with intercooler and wastegate to offer outstanding performance in terms of both specific consumption and torque and power delivery.
The engine powering the 6205 G, for example, delivers a maximum power of 203 HP (149.2 kW) at 2000 rpm, and while maximum engine speed is 2200 rpm, at least 96% of this power is already available from 1600 rpm. 94% of maximum torque (810 Nm at 1600 rpm), on the other hand, is on tap across a generous range of engine speeds from 1100 to 2000 rpm.
With an efficient Donaldsson PowerCore air filter with dust ejector, a new all-aluminium cooling system and generously sized 345 L fuel tanks, 6G tractors are capable of working uninterruptedly for hours on end even in the toughest conditions.

Engine - 6G series

MODULAR AND TECHNOLOGICALLY ADVANCED.

6G Series tractors come as standard with a hydraulic reverse shuttle, the ComfortClutch push button (which lets the driver shift gear without using the clutch pedal), the Stop&Go function and a 6 speed Powershift gearbox with APS (Automatic Powershift) and SpeedMatching, combined with 4 manually selected ranges to offer a total of 24 forward speeds and 12 reverse speeds. As options, these models may also be equipped with a creeper gear (which doubles the number of ratios available and allows a minimum ground speed, in the lowest gear and at maximum engine speed, of just 370 metres per hour) and a longer fifth range, which increases the number of ratios to 30+15 (or 54+27 with the creeper gear) and which, as it is geared for a theoretical top speed of 75 km/h, makes it possible to drive the tractor at top speed at super-economy engine speed. RCshift versions feature automated range shifting capability, with proportional selector valves and exclusive transmission management developed in-house by DEUTZ-FAHR offering a user experience almost identical to the VRT transmission while still ensuring the superlative fuel economy typical of Powershift range gearboxes.

CLASS-BEATING PERFORMANCE.

An unrivalled choice of PTO configurations further contributes to the versatility of these machines, significantly improving efficiency and, as a result reducing fuel consumption, for all applications requiring less than the maximum power output of the engine. All 4 standard speed modes are available as standard on 6G Series tractors. An electrohydraulically controlled PTO clutch is also standard, which uses specific sensors to detect inertial load to ensure that the PTO is started gradually and smoothly. A 1000 rpm front PTO, also with electrohydraulically controlled clutch, is available as an option. Specific road-going versions with no PTO and 3-point linkage are also available for markets where dedicated tractors for road transport usage are required by law.

PTO - 6G series

TOTALLY MODULAR.

The hydraulic system equipping 6G Series tractors is extraordinarily modular. All versions feature a potent 42 l/min pump dedicated exclusively to the steering system (with Load Sensing pumps on versions with the Agrosky satellite guidance system), while a choice of 4 different variants is offered for the main pump. These consist of two fixed displacement pumps, with capacities of 84 and 110 l/min respectively (or 90 and 115 l/min on the 6185 G and 6205 G), feeding a conventional open centre system, and two Load Sensing variable displacement pumps with capacities of 120 and 160 l/min (125 and 165 l/min on the 6185 G and 6205 G), delivering oil to a closed centre system. The hydraulic couplers offered range from 4 with mechanically controlled distributors (or up to 8 as an option), to 6 (or 8 as an option) with electronically controlled distributors with flow regulator and a timer function. The EHR electronically controlled rear lift has a maximum capacity of 9700 kg and is equipped as standard with a Walterscheid hydraulic top link with nitrogen accumulators to damp the oscillations produced by heavy implements during road transport usage. The optional front lift has a capacity of 3850 kg.

UNRIVALLED SAFETY.

The slimline new Sauter front carrier, which is integrated perfectly into the structure of the tractor, makes it possible to fit supplementary ballast weights close to the ground (up to 495 kg on versions with fixed axle and up to 330 kg on versions with suspension), while the impressive maximum permissible loads for the front axle (up to 5200 kg) and rear axle (up to 9200 kg) give these tractors extraordinary load capacity. The optional hydropneumatic front axle suspension system features a number of functions: adaptive damping stiffness control in relation to terrain conditions; load dependent self-levelling; anti-dive and anti-rise, which stiffen the suspension under acceleration and braking to increase driver comfort; and active anti-dumping, which continuously controls the suspension to limit pitching. The heavy duty rear axles of these tractor are equipped with a potent new multiple wet disc braking system with Powerbrake, a power assistance system which reduces the pedal force necessary to operate the brakes and permits up to 10 emergency brake applications even after the engine has been switched off.

NO-COMPROSIME COMFORT AND FUNCTION.

The 6G Series offers the driver an ergonomic working environment bristling with high technology and with the comfort of your own lounge, with features such as new InfoCentre controller units with larger new displays. These tractors may be automated even further with the addition of the Agrosky satellite guidance system. The cab may be equipped with mechanical suspension, as can the front axle, while the hydropneumatic suspension system offered as an option for the front axle boasts adaptive stiffness control, load-dependent self-levelling and anti-dive, anti-rise and anti-dumping functions, which stiffen the suspension under braking and acceleration and adjust damping continuously at higher speeds to limit pitching. The degree of automation offered by 6G Series tractors may be increased even further with a number of options such as the Agrosky satellite guidance system (also available as versions with an accuracy of ± 2 cm), which adds auto-steer capability.

Deutz Common Rail. High pressure common rail injection system, with two lubricated injection pumps integrated in the engine block, and an innovative combustion chamber configuration for superlative power and torque over a wide range of engine speeds.

ELECTRONIC ENGINE GOVERNOR

The system monitors a set of engine parameters, and optimises engine function by adjusting injection accordingly. Automated for total simplicity: lets the driver set, store and recall the most appropriate engine speed for the job in hand.
