DEUTZ TCD 6.1 ENGINES. TIME TO BOOST YOUR BUSINESS

The Deutz TCD 6.1 engine features SCR technology and is specifically designed for the toughest operations. It stands out for maximum power output combined with the lowest fuel consumption and emissions. This engine delivers maximum power at 1900 rpm with a maximum torque of 1600 Nm, which remains almost constant between 950 rpm and 1650 rpm. It thus meets statutory requirements concerning environmental friendliness as well as the demands of agricultural enterprises for profitable technology like no other engine. The Deutz TCD 6.1 is highly innovative. The Deutz Common Rail system has two pumps to ensure constantly high pressure and thus high reliability. The electronically controlled wastegate turbocharger guarantees maximum operating pressure, even under load. With four valves per cylinder, combustion efficiency is greatly enhanced. Particularly innovative: the SCR (Selective Catalytic Reduction) technology, which converts nitrogen oxide in the exhaust fumes into harmless atmospheric nitrogen and water vapour. The Deutz TCD 6.1 engines consume less fuel than conventional ones and are fully biodiesel-compatible (B100).

TRANSMISSION WITH NO SIGNIFICANT ENERGY LOSS

A variety of field work from tilling and sowing to maintaining and fertilising the land as well as transport tasks – all of this can only be efficient if engine power is precisely converted into traction with a fine level of control for every operation and as little loss as possible. This is exactly what makes the transmission of the 7 ST Series so unique. It transfers engine power directly to the wheels with no significant energy loss. When transporting a full load, this translates into a significant fuel efficiency advantage compared to conventional transmission systems. The 7 ST Series transmission is an SDF Powershift gearbox with 33 FWR + 33 REV gears and nine creep speeds. It stands out for a wide variety of powershift gears for all field work at speeds from 2 km/h to 19 km/h. With a top speed of 50 km/h (economy) and 40 km/h (super economy), the 7 ST Series is also the ideal tractor for all transport work.

PTO ACTIVATION AND CONTROL AT YOUR FINGERTIPS

The rear PTO has two standard speeds (540/1000) and offers a wide range of possibilities. The PTO can be operated both from inside the cab and using a push-button on the rear wing. The electro-hydraulic control makes sure that the PTO has a smooth, modulated start. With the PTO Auto function, when the rear lift is activated, the PTO can switch on and off automatically. This prevents operating errors and protects the attachments. The front PTO has a speed of 1000 rpm and is powered directly by the engine; a modulated electro-hydraulic control is activated by a push-button. Its operation is independent of the rear PTO. The startup is always soft, whatever the load, thanks to the modulation of the plate clutch in an oil bath. The activation of the PTO and controls for the PTO Auto are built into the armrest.

The 7 ST Series features load-sensing hydraulics with a flow rate of 120 L/Min and up to seven auxiliary control units. They all regulate quantity and speed of oil flow and are operated by convenient buttons on the joystick and smart wheels on the side console. The load sensing system means that hydraulic power is constantly adjusted to consumer demand – the oil supplied is kept at a constant pressure at all times. The variable displacement hydraulic pump delivers only the quantity of oil required, guaranteeing lower power loss as well as a longer service life for hydraulic components. The ‘push–pull’ hydraulic connections support pressurised hydraulic pipes. Any drops of oil that might escape when equipment lines are connected are collected in a leakage reservoir. All 7 ST Series include the electronic hitch regulator (EHR), which controls traction, position, mixture and, if required, slip. The innovative dynamic rotation point geometry means that the traction point of the three-point linkage is guided towards the tractor’s centre of gravity to achieve maximum traction.

RELY ON THE 7ST SERIES SAFETY CONCEPT

Slight pressure on the brake pedal is all it takes to elicit an immediate, powerful and well-controlled response thanks to the constant pressure in the hydraulic circuit of the braking system. The new servo-assisted Powerbrake system is equipped with an additional accumulator that safely guarantees up to ten braking operations in an emergency, even if the engine is switched off. A larger distance between the brake pads and discs (compensated by the brake booster) results in reduced power loss, less wear on parts and lower oil heating. The braking system features discs in an oil bath on the four drive wheels (all-wheel brake), allowing extremely precise, controlled braking. A switch integrated in the armrest controls the Electronic Park Brake system, which triggers an electric motor and mechanical component to engage the rear brake discs. This innovative system reduces friction, thus decreasing engine power loss. A system with disc springs allows the automatic adjustment of the distance between brake discs and pistons, guaranteeing frictionless lubrication without unnecessary power transmission or loss.
